Short Film Asian Film Academy 2016 (Team A)

HELLO UNCLES!

The story about the main character, Young-Jae left home when he was eighteen and didn't have any contact with his family for years. One day, his sister calls him to come back and help her with his uncle's funeral. At the funeral, Young-jae meets his niece and gets to spend the time together.

About this project

 

Hello Uncle (안녕,삼촌!) was a short film project that I have involved during Asian Film Academy (AFA) 2016 with another 3 directors. With the supported from another fellows and local production team members and instructors. Under guidance of Dean, Mr TSAI Ming Liang, Directing mentor Vimukthi JAYASUNDARA, Cinematography mentor Bogumil GODFREJOW.  It spent around 1 month for pre-production and 3 days principle shoots. Another 5 days of production and finally premiere in 21st Busan International Film Festival (2016).

 

With the another 3 directors and the rest of the fellows, we have a month of discussion to revised and finalized the script which original given by the school. I directed 2 scenes which were the restaurant scene and the slope walking scene.
